Mark and his team have done a superb job laying a new parquet floor for us in a traditional New Town dining room. Fine materials and quality craftsmanship combined in a beautiful result that is completely in keeping with the period. It has added a wow factor to the room, but without looking brand new – quite a feat. It is too early to say how it will age, but at this point, I can recommend for looks the 3 stage solvent-based polyurethane varnish they use on new oak. Mark did his best to accommodate – cheerfully – our exacting requirements. Not the cheapest quotation we had, but decidedly good value. You have to pay for quality, and that is what Stockbridge Flooring deliver.
I got several quotes to have my lounge and hallway floors sanded. Mark was great – he gave me confidence that they would do a good job, and they surpassed my expectations by doing an amazing job. Several bits of the floor needed repairing, and these were done to the highest standard. I can honestly say that the floor looks far better than I ever would have imagined. I would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking about having their wooden floors sanded or worked on.
Floor Sanding We’re so delighted with our floors- excellent service and done really quickly. Mark came round and quoted the next day and we were really impressed with his knowledge. Our living room, bedroom and hall was all done within two days, and at a very reasonable price. The finished look is great! I’d definitely recommend them if you want great floors with no hassle.
Stockbridge Flooring sanded and varnished our dining room floor. We had wanted this done for some time but as the floor was covered with a thick layer of bitumen we had convinced ourselves it would be impossible. Friends had their floors sanded by Stockbridge Flooring and recommended them so we decided to see if they could help. Although Mark said the bitumen was the worst he had seen they did a great job and it is impossible to tell the boards were once entirely black! With a baby and toddler in the house and the dining room the only way to access the kitchen we were worried about disruption in getting the floor sanded. However, the room was sealed off to keep any dust contained, the dining room cleaned after the work was finished and the job completed as quickly as possible. The disruption was kept to an absolute minimum. We will be getting our other floors sanded soon.
