Engineered Wood Flooring

Engineered wood flooring is constructed of layers of real wood, including a hardwood top layer, glued firmly together under high pressure for greater stability. The hardwood veneer is available in different designs, finishes and thicknesses to suit all interiors.

The middle and bottom layers are generally made from plywood and provide strength and balance, making engineered boards suitable for most areas of the home, including kitchens.

The structure of engineered wood floors means they can be installed as a floating floor on top of any type of sub-floor. This makes the installation of engineered wood flooring straightforward and efficient. The planks can be installed using a click/lock or gluing system over a sub-floor.
Depending on the thickness of the engineered boards, nails can also be used. The top layer is pre-finished, so has already been sanded and sealed prior to installation. Once it is laid, it can be walked on and enjoyed immediately.

Engineered wood floors are ideal for areas where solid wood flooring is not suitable and can be combined with underfloor heating. A robust and durable alternative to solid wood, engineered boards have many of the same benefits as laminate flooring, being easy to maintain and clean, making it ideal for the busy family home.

Stockbridge Flooring can advise on all aspects of installation and supply you with many different options of engineered wood flooring, including styles, plank lengths and widths to suit your needs.

They were considerate and thorough. All the little squeaks, wobbles and gaps are repaired, and the floors look wonderful - really brought out the grain of the wood. Would definitely recommend them.

Why do you think Stockbridge Flooring is best ever? Share a tip.fantastic job and 1st class service.! my herringbone floor was badly scratched and dull all round with some parts needing replaced. They sourced the missing flooring that others informed me they could not get. The floor was then sanded and lacquered to an extremely high standard which I am delighted with! The finish is second to none! Mark and his team at Stockbridge Flooring had my furniture removed for me by a local storage company and brought back 2 days later. (which was good advice as nothing was in the way and could get dusty) .They started on Thursday morning and the whole process took 2 days to finish and I was back to normal by Friday evening! Thank you to Mark and his team and would highly recommend them! thanks again.
